WATER QUALITY SENSOR

How to protect water quality?

Building a water quality sensor is one way to improve water quality. The water quality sensor is a prototype that monitors water quality using artificial intelligence.

STEP 1

A camera and sensor is required to put under the water to monitor the state of the water and detect hazardous water.

STEP 2

Our goal is to develop computer vision AI algorithms, which is a branch of AI that uses machine learning and deep learning to enable computers to observe, recognise, and analyse objects in photos and videos (Meel, 2021). The machine learning algorithm aids in the real-time detection of contaminated photos, while the deep learning algorithm aids in the analysis of the image (Dhanapal & Rajan, n.d.).

The Deep Learning Algorithm

Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs)

(Dhanapal & Rajan, n.d.)

Deep learning has recently become a hot topic in machine learning, and its recent success has paved the way for initiatives such as clean water. In this water quality sensor, we'll concentrate on computer vision and picture categorization. To accomplish so, we'll be using a deep learning algorithm called Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to create an image classifier. Because it is designed to examine the biological behaviour of the animal's visual cortex, convolutional neural networks are a type of deep feedforward artificial neural network, most commonly used to analyse visual images. It consists of a convolutional layer and a pooling layer, allowing the network to encode image features.
